For some reason it was also the only time in the first season that the episode's title was shown on screen. Perhaps they were happy with their pun? You see it is a Halloween episode so it is dark and stormy night, and features a good man or a knight, yeah not really that clever.
Here is the video. While the second season episode's video had full color graphics, this one is a simple gray-scale print out. Still, before seaQuest was released on DVD, this was the best quality version I had of one of my favorite episodes of the first season. I watched this episode a number of times, but I was always kind...as you can see.
Bridger is contacted by the other side, which leads the crew to make a huge discovery.
"Oh my God, it's the George...spit." Crocker's character trait as an old sea dog came through clear in this episode.
Despite being twenty years old, the CGI still looks decent in places. I imagined they based the state of the George on images from the Titanic, taking advantage of Robert Ballard's knowledge.
Overall, a great episode of seaQuest, featuring some nice visual effects, decent acting, and yes a well-mixed soundtrack.
Next time on the seaQuest MPS Blog: Blue Revision of the Sympathy from the Deep script.
